The Minnesota Agricultural Water Quality Certification Program (MAWQCP) has reached the milestone of enrolling 1,000 farmers and landowners from across the state. Brad Jordahl Redlin with the Minnesota Department of Ag says now, more than 715,000 acres of land are helping to protect the state’s water resources.

“It changes every day and that growth is really coming and we’re excited to be on a pace where we’ll hit a million acres in another year or so and that will be another good achievement.”

Jordahl Redlin says we can be assured these certified farmers are managing their operations to protect water quality now and into the future.
