(Beltrami County, MN) — Two hundred people are safe after being stranded on a piece of ice. Authorities say the piece of ice broke free yesterday on Upper Red Lake. The stranded anglers were about 30 yards out in open water before being rescued. A resort owner was able to get a bridge from their shore out to use as an evacuation point and most people were off the ice before emergency responders arrived. No injuries were reported.
