There hasn’t been a lot of positive news for ag producers this spring, but planting conditions have been ideal according to Ag Expert Kent Thiesse with MinnStar Bank.

“We have probably 95 percent of corn planted and a little over half of the soybean crop in so far,” said Thiesse. “So we’re well ahead of last year’s pace when it comes to planting.”

Thiesse says if nothing else so far Mother Nature has helped slightly reduce the stress level of farmers.
