As they work to negotiate a new contract with healthcare providers, the Minnesota Nurses Association is holding an “informational picket” of three different hospitals in the Twin Cities today. Angela Becchetti, a nurse at Abbott Northwestern and member of the negotiating team, says this is not a walkout or a work stoppage but a conversation starter with hopes of producing results in negotiations.

“We want patients and the community to understand that we’re not getting much movement at the table and there are key issues that affect our community and our patients. We’re bringing it to their front door because this ultimately affects the public’s health.”
