The Minnesota Department of Natural Resources says there has been yet another black bear sighting reported in the area.

An adult and a cub were spotted Monday night about two miles south of Seven Mile Creek Park, between Mankato and St. Peter.

Others have been reported in Mankato, Amboy, Courtland, Sleepy Eye, Kilkenny, Montgomery, and Windom.

Minnesota’s black bear range has been slowly expanding southward and westward and the DNR says sightings may become more common in southern Minnesota in the years to come.
