Three area lawmakers are joining together to host two town hall meeting to talk about the current legislative session.

State Senator Nick Frentz said, “We’re looking to hear (about) whatever people feel is important for us to know as we get into the meat of the session. I’m expecting to hear things about tax conformity and other issues, but that’s why you have a town hall; to find out what’s important to the people who bother to show up.”

Frentz will be joined at the meeting by Representatives Clark Johnson and Jack Considine. He expects health care costs to be part of that conversation and, “We’re expecting people to notice that there hasn’t really been any fundamental reform offered in the last year on health care, and costs are not really rocketing downward.:

The Town Hall Meetings will both be held on Saturday; the first in Mankato at the Intergovernmental Center from 9:30 am to 11:00 am, and the second at the St. Peter Community Center from 11:30 am to 1:00 pm.
