Minnesota House 23B Representative Jeremy Munson was voted into office Monday night, and is already hard at work with just days before the next legislative session begins.
“We’re working on committee assignments and getting up to speed on Minnesota and for our district that we want to tackle this session,” he explained.
One of those priorities, he said, is addressing tax law changes, “To make sure that our tax code at the state level conforms with the federal changes that went in.”
The problems with the state’s new vehicle registration system persist, and Munson believes that sort of project should be done differently in the future and, “It should be outsourced and find the best and brightest minds to put it in at the lowest cost.”
Munson said health care is one of the biggest issues weighing on many in his district, and, in particular, Minnesota farmers and, “I hope to meet with legislators and build a coalition to push for price transparency at the doctors office and pharmacies, so we can lower costs through mor competition and see what we can do about allowing consumers in our district to purchase insurance from across state lines.”
Munson will be sworn in on Tuesday, when the legislative session begins.
