We always talk about how we'd help our family out if we ever won a big lottery jackpot.  Now a guy in England actually gets to do it . . . 24-year-old Dean Weymes recently won $12,000 a month for 30 years.  That's just under $150,000 a year, before taxes.  (And over 30 years, it's more than $4.3 million.) So he quit his job at an Amazon distribution center the next day.  And when he told HR why he was quitting, they thought it was a joke. Now he's planning to pursue a career in screenwriting, which he went to college for.  [...]

College isn't cheap.  And the first taste parents get is finding out how pricey it is just to APPLY to college.  So this is pretty cool . . . 44-year-old Grant Rivera is the superintendent of a school district in Marietta, Georgia, just outside Atlanta.  He's in charge of 8,900 students, plus 1,200 employees across 11 different schools.  And he recently got a $10,000 bonus. But instead of keeping it, he's donating ALL of it to pay for his students' college applications. The average fee is $43.  So it's enough to cover around 230 applications. About 500 seniors in his district [...]

Even if you think your kids consider themselves "too cool" to hang out with you . . . they don't.  Deep down, they still want to do stuff as a family.  Even if they'd NEVER admit it in front of their friends. And 70% of parents wish they could spend more quality time with their kids. The survey also found the activities that kids want to do with [...]

Macaulay's had a pretty good sense of humor about reprising his iconic Christmas movie role, including this ad for Google this past holiday season. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-lfHXKbsMLE#action=share   In case you missed it ... He just knew they were lost. So, imagine his surprise when he picked up his mail earlier this year and found that someone had sent him his old dog tag. About five years ago, a man named Kenneth Muo was digging a hole for a school flag pole in Papua New Guinea and, sure enough, he unearthed Edwin’s dirty, rusted dog tag. It took him a [...]

Can we please have this kid's generation in charge of this country soon instead of the people we've got now? There's an 11-year-old kid named Ruben Martinez in El Paso, Texas.  And in the wake of the domestic terrorist attack at the Walmart there on Saturday, he wanted to figure out a way to help heal the community.
