(New Auburn, MN) — The Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension is investigating a deadly officer-involved shooting in New Auburn. Officials say 34-year-old Brent Alseben was shot and killed after a long standoff while authorities were performing a welfare check at his apartment. Authorities haven’t released information about whether Alseben threatened officers or had a weapon. His family says Alseben had a long history of mental illness.
