Law enforcement agencies statewide continue to warn about the dangers of drugs after a rash of overdoses in recent weeks. Minnesota Gang and Drug coordinator Brian Marquart says:
“Substances that are sold on the street as cocaine, meth or some synthetic of type have been coming up laced with Fentanyl and have been causing a number of overdose deaths.”
The Minnesota BCA has issued a drug overdose alert in the wake of more than 170 overdoses statewide–and 17 deaths. Marquart says investigators are trying to identify the suppliers of these deadly drugs.
