Bethany Lutheran College says its planning to have classes on-campus for the fall semester. College President Gene Pfeifer made the announcement in a video posted on the college’s social media accounts Monday night.
“Our Board of Regents, the Administration, Faculty and Staff are preparing to welcome you back to campus this fall, ” said Pfeifer. “To the best of our abilities we are planning to open the campus for the fall semester.”
Pfeifer says the coronavirus will still impact the campus next fall, so he has appointed a Bethany Vikings COVID-19 response committee. Pfeifer says that committee will have the task of developing a safe and well-integrated re-opening of the campus for students, faculty and staff and for campus guests. He says the details of the plan will be released in the coming weeks.
