U.S. Marshals in Florida have joined the search for the rural Blooming Prairie woman who is a suspect in the shooting death of her husband three weeks ago, and believe she may be involved in a murder in Fort Myers Beach on Monday.

Police say 56-year old Lois Ann Riess is suspect of murdering her spouse, stealing from his bank accounts, and may be connected to a second murder in Florida..

Riess has remained elusive since her husband David was found dead of multiple gunshot wounds in their home just south of Blooming Prairie nearly three weeks ago. She is also accused of taking $10,000 from her husband’s business account and transferring the money into his personal account before forging his signature on several checks.

Dodge County Sheriff’s Office issued a warrant for her arrest for second-degree murder Thursday.

Lois Riess is 5 feet 5 inches tall and weighing 165 pounds with brown eyes and blond hair.

Dodge County deputies believe Riess is driving a stolen white 2005 Acura TL with Florida license plate Y37TAA, and they caution that she is believed to be armed and dangerous. Investigators add that Riess could be using the name Pamela Sellers Hutchinson.
