(Brooklyn Center, MN) — The city manager of Brooklyn Center is out of a job one day after Daunte Wright was shot and killed by police. Mayor Mike Elliott announced on Twitter yesterday that Curt Boganey has been relieved of his duties. He insisted he will work hard “to ensure good leadership” exists at all levels of the city’s government. Wright, a Black man, died Sunday after being shot during a traffic stop. His death was ruled a homicide by the Hennepin County medical examiner.
