Alumacraft of Saint Peter has been acquired by BRP, a Canadian company that specializes in powersports vehicles and propulsion systems.
The acquisition of the aluminum fishing boat manufacturer will be transformed into BRP Marine Group. Alumacraft currently employs over 250 people at two locations in the U.S. and has a network of over 275 dealers around the globe. The company was established in 1946.
Senior Vice-President and General Manager of Evinrude Outboard Motors Tracy Crocker has been appointed President of the new group.
BRP is a 75-year old company that manufactures Ski-Doo and Lynx snowmobiles, Sea-Doo watercraft, Can-Am on and off-road vehicles, propulsion systems and Rotax engines.
