JESSICA SIMPSON has a new memoir coming out called “Open Book”, where she discusses how she felt when her ex-boyfriend JOHN MAYER called her SEXUAL NAPALM.

She says it was shocking to hear, and adds, quote, “He thought that was what I wanted to be called.  I was floored and embarrassed that my grandmother was actually gonna read that.”

She says John repeatedly told her he was, quote, “sexually and emotionally obsessed” with her.  And she also reveals that his intelligence drove her to drink.

Quote, “I constantly worried that I wasn’t smart enough for him.  He was so clever and treated conversation like a friendly competition that he had to win.”

“My anxiety would spike and I would pour another drink.  It was the start of me relying on alcohol to mask my nerves.”

On a more serious note, Jessica also reveals that she was sexually abused as a child by the daughter of a family friend.  Later in life, she turned to alcohol and pills to deal with the trauma.

But she’s been sober since November of 2017.  She says, quote, “When I finally said I needed help, it was like I was that little girl that found her calling again in life.

“I found direction and that was to walk straight ahead with no fear.  Honesty is hard but it’s the most rewarding thing we have.  And getting to the other side of fear is beautiful.”

“Open Book” hits stores February 4th.
