Christmas week may bring some snow to the area, but the bigger story will be temperatures. Tom Hulquist is with the National Weather Service in Chanhassen.

“We may have some snow, but the bitter cold will be the story,” said Hulquist. “It’s going to be cold Wednesday night into Thursday, and maybe even into Christmas day.”

Hulquist says the lack of snowfall will help the temperature

“The temps Wednesday night will be around zero,” said Hulquist. “If there was snow on the ground the temps would be around ten below.”

Hulquist says most of the state will see some snowfall Wednesday, but accumulating snow will likely be more towards the northern part of the state.
