The sixth annual Dancing with the Mankato Stars raised $149,000 for the local Red Cross Saturday night.

Southwest Minnesota Red Cross Executive Director Leah Pockrandt said that number could go a little higher, as donations often continue to trickle in after the event.

In 2017, local Red Cross volunteers helped more than 100 people after more than 75 fires, collected 33,000 units of blood and sent nearly two-dozen local volunteers to help with hurricane disasters along the Gulf Coast.
