The Senate District 19 Democratic-Farmer-Labor Party will hold its 22d Annual Burton Dinner early next month.
In addition to a formal dinner and program, there will be a silent auction and a live auction. A number of federal, state, and local officials and candidates will attend, and after dinner they will present their campaign platforms and ideas for the future of the district.
Tickets are $50 per person, $20 for students, and ticket sponsorships are available for students that need financial assistance to attend.
It takes place on Saturday, April 7th at the Country Inn & Suites Hotel in Mankato. A social hour begins at 5:00 p.m., followed by the dinner at 6:00 p.m., and the program is at 7:00 p.m.
The Burton Dinner is named for local DFL activists Dan & Ronnie Burton, and organizers say it typically draws 200-250 Southern Minnesota DFL activists.
Tickets can be purchased online at tinyurl.com/BurtonDinner2018. A small processing fee is charged for online ordering, so guests may also contact Stacy Carpenter at [email protected] to avoid the processing fee and arrange to purchase tickets by check.
