It’s been a successful deer-hunting season in Minnesota so far. Dan Ruiter is with the Minnesota DNR.

“Every year, the DNR has a goal of harvesting two hundred thousand deer,” said Ruiter. “This year, to this point, there have been 192-thousand deer harvested, which represents a seven percent increase over 2019.”

Ruiter says archery season will continue until the end of the month. He says hunter participation has seen a significant increase this year.
