State Senator Rich Draheim of Madison Lake says Governor Walz lifting the stay-at-home order was a positive step forward in re-opening Minnesota. Draheim says he’s disappointed that the executive branch has made too many decisions related to the pandemic on its own.

“We felt that we should have been included as co-branches of government and had more say on these executive orders,” said Draheim. “We feel most of us have more contact with the general public than what the Governor’s office does.”

Draheim says there will be plenty of time to remedy those concerns in the future, but the focus needs to remain on helping those affected by the pandemic.
