It is time to set the candidates for November. Today is Primary Election Day in Minnesota. The biggest race isn’t very competitive. Governor Tim Walz is sure to win the Democratic nomination and will likely take on Republican Scott Jensen in the fall. Congresswoman Ilhan Omar is facing a Democratic challenger in her race who has focused on crime. And there is an interesting Congressional primary in southern Minnesota’s 1st Congressional District. RepublicanBrad Finstad and Democrat Jeff Ettinger are competing both in primaries for the fall ballot, and running against each other in a special election to serve-out the last few months of Congressman Jim Hagedorn’s term in office.
