Minnesota Attorney General Keith Ellison announced that his office has filed lawsuits against three establishments for violating Governor Tim Walz’s executive order restricting indoor dining amid the pandemic.

The suits are against St. Patricks Tavern in New Prague, the Pour House in Clarks Grove and The Interchange in Albert Lea. Ellison says he’d much prefer all establishments do the right thing on their own but adds he will continue to use enforcement tools when he has no other choice. Ellison says any fines the court may impose go to the state of Minnesota general fund–not the Attorney General’s Office. So far the Attorney General’s office has filed 10 suits against establishments violating the order.
