On Thursday, June 7 the entrance to the Emergency Department at River’s Edge Hospital in Saint Peter will be moving from the east side of the building to the north side.

Initial stages of construction are underway after Officials broke ground on the 33.8-million dollar expansion and renovation earlier this month. The entrance change will be in place for the next year while the new Emergency Department is being constructed.

River’s Edge CEO George Rohrich says they plan to open the new Emergency Department and Urgent Care facilities in June of 2019.

“They’ll be building the pads and putting down the concrete, the steel will be going up. That’s what you’ll see over the next number of months. Eventually, that’ll get closed in and through the winter they’ll be finishing up the new patient rooms and the Emergency Department.”

River’s Edge Officials expect the project to be completed by 2020.
