Experts say younger people are getting sicker from coronavirus, counting for most of the new cases. Nationwide, those 25-to-49 are visiting E-R’s more than patients 65 and older. That’s the case in Michigan where cases have doubled among those under 60. States like Florida, Illinois, Maryland and Vermont also point to young adults leading the surge. One reason could be they’re not eligible for the vaccine yet.
