This February has moved up a spot now to the second snowiest on record in Mankato.
With an additional 1.6 inches measured Wednesday morning, 24.4 inches of snow has fallen in the back yard of the Radio Mankato studios since the first of the month.
National Weather Service Meteorologist Michelle Margraf said the record for the month was in February of 1962 at 26.5 inches.
Those records date back to 1949.
If just 2.1 more inches of snow falls by the end of the month, February 2019 will go down in the record books as the snowiest.
