Those who paid the ultimate sacrifice in service to our nation will be honored today at Fort Snelling National Cemetery.

“We all know someone who has died in the service to their nation and so all the freedoms and liberties we enjoy, we can channel that energy and remember them and their sacrifice so that we may live free.”

Cemetery Executive Director John Knapp says there will be a parade and laying of the wreaths. This year’s Memorial Day Address will be given by Major General Jody Daniels–Commander of the 88th Readiness Division.
