(Brooklyn Center, MN) — Daunte Wright’s loved ones are marking the anniversary of his death. Friends and family gathered yesterday for a barbecue and vigil to honor Wright’s life at the memorial set up where he was killed in Brooklyn Center. The 20-year-old was killed during a traffic stop last year when former police officer Kimberly Potter says she mistakenly shot him when she intended to draw her taser. Potter was sentenced to a two-year prison term in December.
