“My goal is for Minnesota to elect myself as the Republican governor and also win the House and win the Senate. Republicans in my lifetime have never had the House, Senate, governor at the same time, so most of what we’ve done is stalemate.”

Several other Republicans have announced their candidacies, including fellow State Senator Michelle Benson and former state senator and physician Scott Jensen. Governor Tim Walz has not commented on whether he’s running for re-election.
