The November 3 General Elections is a week away. Blue Earth County still has nearly 5,500 mail-in ballots that have not been returned.  Voters are reminded to return their ballots as soon as possible.  There are many options for Blue Earth County voters to return ballots.

If voters have received a ballot in the mail, ballots and the provided envelopes can be returned through the mail as all postage is pre-paid (must be postmarked no later than November 3 and received by November 10). If voters have received a ballot but wish to vote in person, they should bring those materials with them. Voting options include:

  • The county’s “Drop & Go Quick Service” booth in the parking lot at the Blue Earth County Elections Office at 204 S 5th Street in Mankato. The booth is a convenient drop off opportunity for any county voters returning ballots and will be able to provide curbside voting and other voter assistance.
  • The 15 Map Drive location is another early voting location.
  • The Mapleton and Lake Crystal city hall offices are able to collect ballots for Blue Earth County voters each weekday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. through Monday, November 2.

Hours for the Historic Courthouse and 15 Map Drive locations are 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. The offices will be open extended hours on Saturday, October 31, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. and from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Monday, November 2. Voters entering voting locations will be required to follow the state and county guidelines regarding social distancing and face coverings.
