Governor Mark Dayton has signed several pieces of legislation Wednesday, and Mankato Representative Jack Considine says the news is good for many local projects.
“He’s signing the bonding bill,” Considine said, including, “The part that was near and dear to my heart, MSU’s Clinical Sciences building and library.
The bill also includes funding for the effort to raise the levee in Mankato and for the Highway 14 project from Owatonna to Dodge Center.
Also in the bonding bill, the remodel of the kitchen heating and cooling system at the Minnesota Security Hospital in St. Peter.
Dayton did line-item veto a $1 million grant for a review of the scientific work of the Minnesota Pollution control agency.
