Governor Tim Walz is calling for lawmakers to unify as they move forward during the legislative session. Walz issued a challenge to legislators during his State of the State address last night, asking them to use the state’s historic budget surplus to help Minnesotans hardest hit by the pandemic. The governor gave the address from the Minnesota House chamber for the first time since the pandemic began. Walz’s speech was the final one of his first term.
