The GOP candidate for Congress in Minnesota’s First Congressional District has renewed a call for sweeping border security and immigration reforms to crack down on illegal immigration, in the wake of two recent high-profile murders in the region.

Republican Jim Hagedorn said the recent discovery of two violent murders, both committed by illegal aliens, further demonstrates the pressing need to enact the border policies President Donald Trump has outlined.

He added that the murder of Mollie Tibbetts in Iowa and Enedelia Perez Garcia in Shakopee were horrific and avoidable.

He supports immigration reforms that include the proposed border wall, replacing chain migration, defunding sanctuary cities/states, and others.
