“Increase in the rates of anxiety and depression amongst young people who are interacting regularly on social media and on technology in general.”

Wong says there’s a lot of research that shows some of the apps young people use are intentionally designed to “tap into the weaknesses of the adolescent brain.” Wong encourages parents to be sure their kids limit “non-productive” screen time.
