Health officials are urging Minnesotans not to hold large gatherings this New Year’s Eve in an effort to stop the spread of COVID. HealthPartners’ Dr. Mark Sannes says he understands there’s momentum to get things “back to normal”…

“I would hate to see the holiday and some of the short-term gains that we could feel by getting together in a large group of people result in us not being able to do that for more than one night.”

Dr. Sannes says the more we follow social distancing guidelines, the sooner we are likely to return to “normal” in 2021.
