Traffic on Highway 60 from Windom to Mountain Lake was switched Wednesday from the existing two-lanes to the newly built lanes to allow the contractor to make improvements and resurface the eastbound side.

The Minnesota Department of Transportation says traffic remains one lane in each direction.

The construction project experienced serious setbacks during the first half of the construction season when the area experienced record-setting rains, and MnDOT says early December is now the projected completion date.

The cost for the eight-mile project is $19,700,000.
