The Minnesota Department of Transportation has opened Highway 93 from Highway 169 to Henderson. It was closed since June 24 due to flooding of the Minnesota River.
MnDOT will continue to closely monitor Highway 93 for possible flooding of the Rush River, which officials say may cause the highway to close again as soon as Tuesday.
To minimize damage to the saturated roadbed, MnDOT has placed a 7-ton axle weight restriction on that stretch of highway and say it’s anticipated to remain in place for approximately two weeks.
Drivers are asked to use caution as crews continue to work off the shoulder to establish erosion control and stabilize the surrounding area.
