The Minnesota Department of Transportation opened Highway 93 from Highway 169 to Henderson this (Wed) morning. It was closed Sunday due to flooding of the Minnesota River.

A 7-ton axle weight restriction on that stretch of highway remains in place and MnDOT officials say it’s intended to minimize damage to the saturated roadbed. It’s expected to remain in place for about two weeks.

Drivers in the area are asked to use caution as crews continue to work off the shoulder to establish erosion control and stabilize the surrounding area.

Highway 19 east of Henderson is still closed due to the Minnesota River flood impacts.
