“Devastating.” That’s what Hospitality Minnesota’s Liz Rammer calls Governor Walz’s expected announcement that indoor dining at bars and restaurants will remain on “pause” through the holiday season due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

“This is a critical time of year as we know for this industry–hospitality businesses–make really, they get in the black with 40% of their sales in some cases coming this time of year, so to extend this further, we have just taken away Christmas for all of these folks

“Rammer is calling on Walz to reconsider. And she says the COVID data doesn’t support the governor’s decision. She’s asking Walz to allow businesses to open up to 50-percent when the most recent closure order was set to expire on Friday.
