Minnesota House Republicans continue hammering Democrats for what they call lack of transparency before the passage of a new state budget during Friday and Saturday’s special session.   Minority Leader Kurt Daudt says major decisions were all made by Governor Tim Walz, Senate Majority Leader Paul Gazelka and House Speaker Melissa Hortman:

“We need to figure out how to take the power away from three people in a tribunal making all the decisions (and) give it back to the elected representatives.”

House Speaker Hortman responds every bill was aired and people had time to read them, but House Republicans…

“It has been the most obstructionist minority that we’ve ever seen, in terms of a record number of amendments on the budget bills.”
