The return to duty today of a Minnesota State Patrol trooper injured in a crash last spring is being used to highlight the importance of wearing your seatbelt. Sgt. Mike Krukowski survived his collision with a broken foot and a broken arm.
“That was it, super blessed that I didn’t get hurt worse. And I’ve gone to countless crashes. I can tell you right now, of all the crashes I’ve investigated, seatbelts have always kept people from getting hurt worse.”
Over the last five years, 450 unbelted motorists died while more than one thousand suffered life-changing injuries on Minnesota roads.
