A new on-demand grocery delivery service is up and running in the Mankato metro.

Instacart launched its services on Thursday in Mankato, North Mankato, Skyline, Eagle Lake, Madison Lake, Kasota and St. Clair. The service delivers items to customers at their door the same day an order is made from local stores that include Cub Foods, CVS and Petco.

Officials say the company is also bringing income earning opportunities to the area for people who deliver the items.
