The Southern Minnesota Regional Medical Examiner’s Office has identified the victim of a murder that took place in rural Dodge County on Friday.

Lois Riess is a suspect in the shooting death Friday of her husband, 54-year-old David Riess of Blooming Prairie.

Sheriff Scott Rose said 54-year-old David Riess of Blooming Prairie died after he was shot several times, and they are looking for Riess’ wife Lois as a suspect in his death.

Lois Riess is 56-years-old, 5’5”, 165 pounds with brown eyes and light blonde hair. Rose said she is likely driving a white, 2005 Cadillac Escalade, Minnesota license plate 864-LAE.

Investigators believe she may be armed, and are urging people to call 911 with information on where she may be, but not to approach her.

Rose said Lois Riess is known to frequent casinos.
