In partnership with the Minnesota Department of Health, Brown-Nicollet Environmental/Community Health will be offering radon test kits at no charge on a first-come, first-serve basis to homeowners beginning January 4, 2021, during  “Radon Action Month.”

As their office is currently closed to the public, short term radon test kits will be distributed via drive-thru from January 4th through January 8th and by appointment only after January 8th.

Pick up location is at the Nicollet County Health and Human Services Building, 622 S. Front Street in St. Peter.

The testing for radon in your home is important because radon is the leading environmental cause of cancer deaths in the United States and the leading cause of lung cancer among non-smokers. More than 21,000 lung cancer deaths are attributed to radon each year in the U.S.
