More Minnesotans are returning to the labor force as job growth continues to surge.  DEED Commissioner Steve Grove:

“We lost 417,000 jobs in February and through April of 2020 of course at the beginning of that pandemic and we have now gained back 80% of those jobs in the private sector 76% overall if you include the public sector.”

Minnesota’s labor force participation rate sits at 68.1% and the unemployment rate ticked down to 2.5% in March, a tie with its lowest level ever recorded, in February 1999.
