(Isanti County, MN) — The state Bureau of Criminal Apprehension is investigating a fatal officer-involved shooting in Isanti County Sunday afternoon. Authorities say the incident began outside a Blaine Kohl’s department store following reports of a theft. The suspects fled the scene in a stolen car, leading to a pursuit north on Highway 65. After the vehicle was disabled near Braham, a shootout occurred as the suspects left the car. A K9 from the Anoka Police Department was wounded while one of the suspects was shot and killed. The other suspect was taken into custody with no injuries. Bravo, the K9, went to a vet hospital for emergency surgery.
