A stand-off in Rural Henderson early Saturday apparently began after a woman called 911, saying her boyfriend assaulted her with a hammer and strangled her.
The woman also said 32-year-old Bryant Holder had doused the home in gasoline and was threatening to set it on fire.
Le Sueur County Sheriff Bret Mason says the woman was able to get out with her two children and drive to the hospital.
When deputies got to the scene, Mason says Holder refused to come out of the home and threatened to kill anyone who came inside. The sheriff also says he continually threatened to burn the house down.
Negotiators eventually talked Holder into leaving the home after about six hours. He’s expected to be charged Monday.
