The Minnesota State Senate held a hearing on the 2020 election in Minnesota yesterday. State Senator Mary Kiffmeyer says the purpose of the hearing was to review questions of election integrity.
And it is certainly appropriate for us, during those times to be able to ask those questions as well. And not be accused of nefarious motives, just because we are asking a question.
Secretary of State Steve Simon testified that the hearing was taking place during a “national tidal wave of disinformation.”
“There have been no, as in zero, credible reports of any voter misconduct or fraud in this election.”
Kiffmeyer called that type of statement “vague” and “pronounced without substantiating information,” adding the way to inspire confidence in the system is through greater transparency.
