A Le Center woman is accused of violating a no-contact order, hitting a woman with a baseball bat, and wrecking her ex-boyfriend’s cell phone in a fit of jealousy.

Le Center Police arrested 30-year-old Kailyn Jewett after they say she ignored the court order to stay away from her ex, went to his home, and threw his phone to the ground. The officer sent Jewett on her way, ending the dispute.

However, later in the day a woman called police after she said Jewett was following her, accused her of having a sexual affair with her boyfriend, and then hit her in the back with the bat.

The criminal complaint shows that a baseball bat was found in Jewett’s car, and she has been charged with felony assault with a dangerous weapon and misdemeanors of violating a restraining order and criminal property damage.
