Data from the Minnesota Department of Health indicate the flu season has had little to no impact on Minnesota so far.

So far much talked about fears of a “twindemic” of seasonal flu and COVID-19 have not been realized in Minnesota as the state experiences the weakest start to a flu season in years. so far, just 16 people have been hospitalized. That is over the first 11 reporting weeks. The low end for hospitalizations in a typical year number in the dozens by now. There have so far been no deaths as of the latest reporting week. State officials are now speculating the COVID-19 pandemic is somehow driving down flu numbers.
