A Butterfield man has been charged after shooting down a drone flying over a Minnesota chicken processing plant. The Minneapolis Star Tribune reports 34-year-old Travis Winters was charged with criminal damage to property and reckless discharge of a firearm in the city limits in connection to an incident on May eighth. Authorities say Winters is accused of shooting down a drone that was capturing images of chickens being slaughtered at Butterfield Foods according to the drone operator. Butterfield Foods is owned by Mankato-based Downs Food Group.
